Alpha Crematory Services Adds a Fourth Location and Renowned Expertise

As the cremation rate trends up,  Alpha Crematory Services commits to providing families with convenient locations and better access to quality service

Dallas, TX 6/5/2012 -  According to the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), the cremation rate in the US has gone from 3.56% in 1960 to 40.62% in 2010. This rate is set to increase to 44.25% in 2015 and 55.65% in 2025 based on projections by the Cremation Association of North America (CANA). Despite this increasing trend, not many families are versed with the right information that is paramount to making an educated decision.

Alpha Crematory Services, a family owned and operated funeral home, chapel, and cremation center which has been servicing families for over 45 years, is investing major resources to educate and provide families with options. For instance, they offer families the opportunity to still choose to have a full traditional funeral service with a cremation instead of a burial. “Families often times express how we are a breath of fresh air because we make the process simple, we put them at ease, and we treat every family with the utmost care and respect no matter how much money they have,” says Shauntavia Williams, Funeral Director at Alpha Crematory Services.

The new funeral home is conveniently located at 9325 South Freeway (South I35W), Fort Worth, TX 76140 and features an elegantly designed private viewing room. In addition, the chapel features spacious seating to comfortably accommodate friends and supporters. “Our goal is to guide your family in creating a meaningful ceremony to honor the life and memory of a loved one,” says Damerrick ‘Cheerio’ Williams, the new General Manager of Alpha Crematory Services, “in addition, a ceremony can be anything you wish it to be: simple or elaborate, traditional or unique. No matter how it is tailored, such a ceremony is an important step in recovering from loss.” Damerrick is a tenured industry expert who is actively involved with the Fort Worth Local Funeral Directors Association. The passion and dedication that he shares with his team will enhance the experience for families. Furthermore, as a retired first Sergeant of the United States army, Major H Williams Sr, owner and Funeral Director in Charge, is dedicated to helping soldiers and military families from all cultures and faiths.

The team at Alpha Crematory Services also encourages families to start early with the planning process to alleviate the overwhelming effect that they often times see with families who didn’t take the time to plan adequately. “Early planning usually results in reduced costs and less headache,” says Williams, “ and we can help them through the process with our pre-planning department were we will discuss with them the different plans available based off of their individual situation.

Press Release: Alpha Crematory Services Has a Major Answer for Baby Boomers and Their Family Members

One of the toughest answers your family member can receive to a funeral arrangement question is that it’s unaffordable. One local company is seeking to change this answer in a major way and invites you to “Ask Alpha”.

Dallas, TX - As baby boomers approach retirement, many questions are being asked by many people. Business Week‟s Mary Childs and Tom Keene recently asked whether baby boomers would have to work for more years in order to be able to retire as a result of the recent financial crisis. US News & World Report‟s Emily Brandon recently asked whether baby boomers can maximize their social security payouts upon reaching the full retirement age of 66. For baby boomers and their family members, the one retirement question that is a little tougher to ask is whether they will be able to manage funeral arrangements at the time of loss and grief.

"Baby boomer‟ is a term that generally refers to an individual born in the middle part of the 20th century between 1946 and 1964. According to census.gov, the oldest baby boomers are now in their 60‟s. The recent financial crisis has made retirement planning more difficult for those close to retirement. In turn, this has had an impact on the affordability of funeral arrangements for many families even those with life insurance polices.

“Cost-effectiveness and quality of care are major concerns for families,” says Shauntavia Williams, Provisional Funeral Director at Alpha Crematory Services, a family owned and operated funeral home, chapel, and cremation center which has been helping families for over 45 years.

A subsidiary of their company, Alpha Crematory Services, which was created in 2006, was the first African American owned crematory in the southwest, a region which includes states such as Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas. Understandably, many people of different regions and cultures tend to be very emotional about engaging a funeral arrangement service. It can be very tough for them to ask the right questions during such a planning process. “Transparency is our practice because a well-informed client is a happy client,” says Williams.

An informed retirement plan is one that takes into account funeral or memorial service arrangements. But ultimately, such arrangements must be affordable at the time the plan is put into effect. Alpha Crematory Services is seeking to answer the affordability question with some recent developments: the remodelling of its chapel and the redesigning of its website to make both of them more family-friendly. Upon closer inspection, one may find that these developments are actually not developments in the true sense of the word- - the fact is that the company has been providing family-focused memorial and cremation services for a long time now. Perhaps the best way for baby boomers and their family member to get an answer on affordability is to just ask Alpha.
